My wife, Wink, and I, saw Dylan and Baez in New Haven, 1964. Group of dopey -- and well-oiled -- Yalies in back of us made a ruckus all the way through. The two skinny kids on stage prevailed, however, and we (skinny kids, ourselves, at that point) were fortunate to have been among members of an otherwise appreciative audience. Thanks for impressive piece, Rich. "Complete Unknown" next on our list.
Chalamet the glamor boy seems like an odd bit of casting, but good friends have seen the film and raved about it. We plan to see it, and I’ll reread your excellent column again just before we go.
Linda and I saw the Dylan movie on Christmas Eve. What a wonderful look back at special point in time. The other day I wrote about how reading the obits daily lately returned me sadly to those days, focusing on five that hit me hard when I saw them. Your piece today helped to bring it all together, the obits, the film and my own memories.

Thank you for sharing, Richard!
